FAQ

CAN I BRING FRIENDS WITH ME?

While bringing friends to a session can be exciting, we find its typically best to only have essential elements of the production in the studio. This tends to allow artists to make the most of their time.

HOW DO I BOOK / CONFIRM A SESSION?

Contact the studio. We will need to know date(s) and time(s) of your session and also secure a 50% down payment. Once a down payment is made, your session is confirmed. Final payment will be required before sending any files, or at end of session.

I HAVE MY OWN PRODUCER / ENGINEER. CAN I BRING THEM?

We accommodate many sessions where there are visiting engineers and producers. Studio policy ensures that we also provide a house engineer to assist.

CAN I TAKE A TOUR OF THE STUDIO?

Yes. Taking a tour is often the best way to experience the space and have your questions answered. The coffee is pretty good, too!

DOES THE STUDIO PROVIDE MUSICIANS?

Yes. Studio musicians are often added to productions. Two weeks or more of notice is typically needed to arrange schedules, and musician rates can vary.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

We require 48 hours notification in the event of a cancelled session; otherwise the deposit is forfeited. 

DOES THE STUDIO HAVE A PARKING LOT?

While there is no designated parking lot for the studio, there is usually ample parking on the street. Please note that parking meters are in effect 

WHEN DOES THE ENGINEER BEGIN TO SETUP FOR MY SESSION?

The engineer begins setup at the session start time. Early setups can be accommodated; please inquire about options.

WHAT FILES SHOULD I SEND PRIOR TO MY SESSION?

Any files/mixes that will be needed for your session should be sent via email or physical drop-off prior to the session. Please ensure all ‘permissions’ are granted for the files as well as make any links ‘shareable’.

HOW DO I RECEIVE MY FILES?

Files are sent via an email link. We use Google Drive. It is free to open in your browser, download to a desktop, and downloading to a mobile device requires installing the free app.

CAN I HIRE A PRODUCER FOR MY SESSION?

Yes. A producer is often the key element in making a production come together. While many artists and bands self-produce, hiring a producer opens up many more avenues during the recording process.

WHAT GENRES OF MUSIC DO YOU RECORD?

We service all genres of music, and are able to supply studio musicians and producers within each genre.

CAN I EXTEND A SESSION ONCE IT IS BOOKED?

If there are no sessions immediately after yours, yes. Simply let the engineer/management know. Any adjustments in the invoice will need to be settled prior to sending files.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT CAN I USE?

We use PayPal and Zelle, which accepts all forms of digital payment. Cash is also accepted when arranged prior.

WHAT FAMOUS PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TO THE STUDIO?

While many people ask this question, we look to keep the privacy of our clients a top priority. 

WHAT ARE YOUR ALCOHOL AND DRUG POLICIES?

There are no drinks permitted in the control room or live rooms. Smoking and/or vaping is only allowed outdoors in front of the building.

CAN I USE THE STUDIO'S GEAR?

Yes. Please see our gear section for all available gear. Please provide 3 days notice on all gear requests. If something is unavailable, we will do our best to supply appropriate alternatives and options.

WILL THERE BE A STUDO ASSISTANT DURING MY SESSION?

In most cases, yes. However, to ensure an assistant is present, please request they be available for your session. 

WHAT ARE THE STUDIO'S RATES?

Studio rates can vary depending on the session. Please contact the studio to discuss.
